Sunday afternoon social media was buzzing with reports of a second massacre that had occurred on Oct. 1 in addition to the massacre at the Route 91 Music Festival in Las Vegas, claiming a second attack had occurred at Hooters Hotel and Casino.

This is 100 percent fake news.

People died that night, others were shot. Using a tragedy like that for entertainment purposes to further an outrageous agenda is a disgrace.

There was no other shooting or massacre at Hooters.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers who were inside the concert venue when the shooting was occurring, started to direct concert goers, some who were shot out of the venue eastbound to Hooters.

That’s what you do when you have an active shooter incident, you get everyone who can walk or crawl out of the immediate area where the gunshots are being targeted.

Rescue units were on scene at Hooters placing the wounded inside the ambulances. That’s why there were emergency medical personnel placing the wounded and injured inside the rescue units who were staging at Hooters.

What made the situation worse was that those escaping the carnage at the concert venue stampeded into the Hooters Hotel for cover.

You can clearly hear the LVMPD radio traffic from the night of the shooting when one officer tells the dispatcher, “Control 3Mary9, I’m at the center with other officers here, we got a lot of wounded. We’re sending them towards the Reno side towards Hooters [out of harm’s way].”

LVMPD Charleston Hartfield

A dealer who was working inside Hooters on the night of the massacre told Nevada Public Radio on Oct. 2 that you could hear the gunshots outside and people were coming into the casino who were shot and wounded. The dealer stated that there were bodies in front of the casino that were just lying there, people who ran from the venue, they just died right there.

The emergency medical personnel and the police did an outstanding job that night placing their own lives in jeopardy to get people away from the gunfire.

Las Vegas buried LVMPD officer Charleston Hartfield on Friday who was off duty attending the concert that night with his wife. After he made sure that his wife was safe, he started to help move concert goers out of the venue when he was shot and killed.
